Non-intrusive pig signaler with hazardous location certification
Drinkwater Products is proud to introduce a non-intrusive pig signaler with UL/CSA Class 1 division 1 hazardous location certification. It uses either permanent magnets or active transmitters to detect passage. Thousands of systems have been used around the world over the last fifteen years, positioning the CD52 pig signaler as a leader in the industry. It has the ability to reliably withstand the harshest environments. The standard enclosure is made from certified aluminium with a tempered glass window and is completely explosion-proof.
The Bandit features a relay closure on passage, which means it can be interfaced with systems ranging from horns to lights, PLCs, SCADA and many others. It offers bi-directional pig detection and offers detection of both transmitter and permanent magnet equipped pipeline pigs. It automatically retains the ten most recent passage dates and times.
The Bandit is completely non-intrusive to the pipeline, and it can easily be installed using direct burial with various stalk types and heights. There is also the option of armored flex cable. The Bandit easily bands to pipelines ranging from 2” to 60” in wall thicknesses of 1.5 inches or 38mm.
The CD52 Bandit is simple, reliable and non-intrusive. It detects pig passages within any part of your pipeline network. Once it is strapped onto the pipeline, it will immediately begin to scan and transmit pig passages using the permanent and transmitter magnets.
The operator will be notified of pig passages along with their dates and times. Previous passages can be retrieved from the Bandit’s memory.
The Bandit uses the company’s proprietary LineStat satellite notification service to notify operators of pig passages via email or smart phone 24/7.
