Girth welds are flood-coated with Innercoat and cigarette-wrapped with Guard-Wrap, providing an effective moisture barrier and long-lasting protection.
Description
Innercoat is a blend of microcrystalline waxes designed to provide the most desireable corrosion resistance, adhesion, and wetting characteristics. It is flood coated directly to the pipe surface and is always over-wrapped with a proper Trenton wrapper depending on the type of application. Its ease of application and "forgiving" character in difficult applications make it an ideal all purpose pipe coating.
End Use
To protect metal surfaces from corrosion. For patching, Innercoat is heated by appropriate means and applied by hand in the field.
