Steel-body or mandrel pigs are made up of component parts that mount to a steel body allowing multiple configurations and the replacement of individual parts as needed. Parts generally consist of cups, discs and scraping elements, such as brushes or blades for cleaning. Pig bodies are normally steel or aluminum with the seals made from urethane, neoprene or nitrile. These pigs are generally used for cleaning or batching purposes.
